May you find these resources as tremendously useful as I did in expanding one’s understanding of who we are as human beings. We stand on the shoulders of giants…

Resources are divided into two categories:

  • Self-Actualization: healing, psychological development, emotional maturity and manifestation of one’s potential in the world.

  • Consciousness Expansion: expanding one’s consciousness beyond the material / physical plane.

Self-Actualization

  • The Map of Consciousness Explained by David R. Hawkins: a text on the levels of consciousness, including egoic, rational and spiritual levels.

  • The Undefended Self: Living the Pathwork by Susan Thesenga: a comprehensive overview of the stages of psychological and spiritual growth and how to develop through them.

  • Returning to Oneness: The Seven Keys of Ascension by Leslie Temple-Thurston: The eight keys are enlightened perspectives on the world and integrated states of consciousness, which have the power to open the chakras and restore the energy flows in the body.

  • Essential Healing by Paul Aurand: a book for healing all facets of yourself for greater psychological and spiritual knowledge.

Healing the Body, Moving Energy / Emotions and Releasing Trauma:

  • Somatic Body Release - Sometimes it is hard for us to be conscious because trauma is frozen in our bodies and compromises our attention. Here are some methods for release:

    • Rosen Method practitioners (simple way to release frozen trauma by applying an equal amount of pressure to tense muscle)

    • Peter Levine Somatic Release

    • Conscious Breathing (many practitioners out there)

    • The Secret Language of Your Body by Inna Segal is an excellent resource of diagnosing physical ailments & illnesses connected to stuck emotions and feelings. 

  • Energy Healing: Hands on Light Healing Series by Barbara Brennan (author of Hands of Light, Core Light Healing and Light Emerging): a system of energy healing and spiritual awakening. This is the gold standard for hands-on-healing.  

  • Qigong Healing as taught by Robert Peng. Great way to move energy through the body, more specific than Reiki, but also uses universal healing energy.

  • Reiki: energy healing modality that can open you up to a broader awareness of energy. Many schools and practitioners.

  • Hansa Wellness Studio - previously a nurse from Reno, Sue is an excellent energetic healer. I had sessions with her in Reno and remotely.

  • Past-life Regression - Life Between Lives

    • Paul Aurand, author of Essential Healing, not only has written a very well researched and tested book about coming into contact with all facets of yourself for healing and greater knowledge, he also does Life Between Lives sessions for people. You get insights into your soul’s journey and might also see why you came here this time.

Consciousness Expansion

Leading Research and Teaching Organizations & Audios:

  • Robert Monroe Institute - Institute for expanding one’s consciousness employing binaural beats and spatial audio modulation. In person retreats, online courses and music available. The gold standard in using science to test and document expanded states of consciousness.

  • IONS Institute - world’s largest team of multidisciplinary scientists conducting research on frontier topics in consciousness and its impact in our lives. “As experts in physics, molecular biology, neuroscience, computer science and engineering, psychophysiology, and clinical research, we work together to conduct cutting-edge research on consciousness and its role in the physical world.” Excellent research, online courses. Check out the book, The Science of Channeling, by research director, Helane Wahbeh.

  • Sacred Acoustics - audio engineered to expand your awareness by changing the frequency of your brain waves.

  • Andrej Djordevitch - He teaches you how to connect to universal intelligence. His music will transport you to another realm.

  • Academic articles on non-local consciousness, mediumship, Near-Death Experiences

  • Arthur Findlay College - School for finetuning one’s mediumistic / energetic channel / receiver. This is primarily an evidential mediumship school, one of the world’s finest, meaning all teachers have a high level of integrity and ability to serve as channels. There are also courses related to energy and creativity.

  • University of Virginia - Near-Death Studies and Reincarnation Studies

Books

  • Laura Lynn Jackson - a medium who wrote a book explaining her experience as a medium from a child onwards. Highly recommend her book, “The Light Between Us”

  • Candice Sanderson, a therapist who started to have mystical experiences. Shares her channeled messages in the book, The Reluctant Messenger.

  • Channeled Inspiration by Paul Selig. He channels messages from “The Guides” who say that you will be enlightened finally by seeing the divinity in yourself and all that is.

  • Sara Landon - channel for Conscious Creation. Very upbeat and optimistic.
